Welcome to the BCM Blog

We are currently updating the BCM database, with the help of Brian Knill, a long time member of the NCS and author of numerous conservation and community organisation's databases. The step at the moment involves transferring all the data from the current database to the new updated version. Due to a database protocol known as "replication", this is not as easy as it sounds. Originally set up in order to protect the fidelity of the data, it is now a major hurdle in our path. Once this is overcome, we are hopeful that many new improvements can be made to the database and its accessibility.
